The audience awarded Czech fireworks display
The show titled Running Up That Hill, directed by Czech company Flash Barrandov SFX, won over the audience in a close vote.
The pyro-musical by the Czech pyrotechnicians at Flash Barrandov SFX, led by designer Jaroslav Štolba and featuring music by Kate Bush, Twenty One Pilots, and Thomas Bergersen, was a hit with the Brno audience. It took first place with a score of 1.16.
Second place went to the Swiss team SUGYP, the overall winner of the festival Grand Prize and recipient of the award for the best music. The audience rated the fireworks display The Enigma of Paradoxes with a score of 1.21.
The Finnish fireworks display The Pendulum of Light and Silence, with which the JoHo Pyro team won the award for best design of the obligatory part, earned a score of 1.25.
Prelude Bella Ciao, which the Flash Barrandov SFX team prepared for the last Saturday in May in Brno’s Komárov district, received a score of 1.35.
“We can safely say that all three teams and all four shows are winners this year. The difference between first and third place is less than a tenth of a point. This year, the rating was very close, both from the expert jury and the audience vote, which confirms the fantastic level of this year’s artistic fireworks displays,” commented Ondřej Morávek from the production company SNIP&CO on the results.
Starting Tuesday, July 7, the final audience vote will begin – this time for the drone shows. On the Ignis Brunensis Official Facebook page, viewers will decide whether they liked the light show Four Seasons or The Birth of Life better.
