IGNIS BRUNENSIS 2025

REGIOJET IGNIS BRUNENSIS will light up Brno with artistic fireworks this year from 13 to 25 June. A drone show at the lake will feature a record of 300 drones

Brno and South Moravia are preparing for the twenty-eighth edition of the REGIOJET IGNIS BRUNENSIS festival this year in the main period from 13 to 25 June 2025. The world competition of artistic fireworks and the drone light show will be accompanied by an entertaining programme for both children and adults.

The opening fireworks will take place this year on 13 June above Špilberk Castle. The opening fireworks display is dedicated to the 380th anniversary of the successful defence of Brno against Swedish troops.

The main attraction of IGNIS BRUNENSIS is the annual competition of the world's best artistic pyrotechnicians on the surface of the Brno Lake. Spectators will see four spectacular pyromusicals synchronized with music (broadcast live by Radio Krokodýl on 103 FM). The presentation will feature Great Britain on 14 June, Italy on 18 June, Poland on 21 June, and the Czech Republic on 25 June. Public viewing areas for the fireworks are free for spectators on the beaches, banks and around the lake. Traditionally, a comfortable paid zone is also prepared – a sound-equipped RegioJet seating grandstand (pre-sale via GoOut.net).

Before Saturday's fireworks display at the lake, we can look forward to a drone light show for the fourth time. After last year's performances with 250 drones, the IGNIS DRONE SHOW will once again be a Czech premiere and record. On Saturdays 14 June and 21 June, a squadron of 300 glowing drones will be presented at the Brno Lake! The theme of the first show is "The City and Region of Stories", the second drone show is called "Centuries of Discoveries".

Artistic fireworks and drone shows accompany the traditionally colourful entertainment festival from May to September. The most attractive weekend shows in the centre of Brno are always the Fun by the City Walls and Transport Nostalgia with historic public transport vehicles under the guarantee of DPMB, TMB and IDS JMK (14-15 June), Police Day and 26th International Equestrian Police Championship (13-14 June), Children's Days and other leisure, cultural, sports and presentation events. The programme this year is intertwined with the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the discovery of the Venus of Věstonice (main events of the Moravian Museum are on 20 June and 13 July). Lovers of gastronomy and popular music will enjoy the Mora Food Festival at the Technical Museum in Brno with concerts by Pokáč and Xindl X (7 June).

The main co-organisers include the City of Brno, the South Moravian Region and SNIP & CO as the main producer. The title partner is RegioJet from the STUDENT AGENCY group. The main supervisor of the fireworks festival is Flash Barrandov SFX. Spectrum Production are the technological and artistic parner of the IGNIS DRONE SHOW. The official public transport of visitors is provided by the Brno public transport company DPMB.
