Brno - "Oh son, oh son" is the name of the firework designed by Jaroslav Štolba from Flash Barrandov SFX. The audience can enjoy the epilogue of the Ignis Brunensis festival on 16th of June above the Spielberg castle in Brno.

The firework consists of six parts based on songs that played significant roles in the history of the Czech and Slovak nation. Prelude will be accompanied by Vyšehrad, a part of Bedřich Smetana's symphonic poem Má vlast (My country). This composition was inspired by Czech legends and traditions and it's tightly connected to the Vyšehrad stronghold in Prague.

After the prelude an ode to the patron of Czech nation, Saint Wenceslas, will be heard. Saint Wenceslas Chorale is for many Czechs as important as the national anthem. The fireworkers were captivated by both its magnificence and liveliness.

The firework will also celebrate Czechoslovakia - among others by Sinfonietta composed by Leoš Janáček, one of the Czech musical geniuses. The composition inspired not only the whole world, but also Ignis Brunensis Team while they created the firework. The next song will be a tribute to Slovakia. Krútňava, a Slovakian national opera by Eugen Suchoň was created during World War Two. The show will honor the Slovakian identity that not even the totalitarian regime could crush.

The last song will be an instrumental present for the first Czechoslovakian president Tomáš Garrigue Masaryk: Ach synku, synku, his favourite song. For this piece the fireworkers promised us the Czechoslovakian tricolor. The former president will also be commemorated by fanfares from opera Libuše by Bedřich Smetana - the same tune also accompanied Masaryk's inauguration.

The whole show will be especially a manifestation of pride, ideals and mutual fondness between the members of Czech and Slovak nations. The fireworks will celebrate important historical moments along with compositions that defined and characterized both nations' nature. The main idea that inspired the fireworkers is also a wish: Let us all live well in our beautiful country!
