Austrian Pyrovision won the Audience Award

Brno - Viewers decided on the audience's favourite fireworks show this year by voting on the Facebook pages of Ignis Brunensis and Radio Krokodýl. The Austrian team Pyrovision will take home the People’s Choice Prize for their Friendship show, with which they also won the festival's Main award and the Music Amidst the Fires Prize for the best music. The pyromusical with unconventional music and modern effects received a grade of 1.20.

"The audience agreed with the expert jury in the voting. The Austrian team Pyrovision has thus won the prestigious 'double' of the main award and the award from the audience at the 27th Ignis Brunensis," commented Ondřej Morávek from the production company SNIP & CO.

Designer Christian Czech, the author of the Austrian show, is delighted with the favour of the Brno audience: "It always makes me very happy when people like my show. I want to give them a pleasant evening and bring them feelings and emotions," he revealed in an interview.

The pyromusical The Conquest of Paradise by the Czech fireworks designers led by Flash Barrandov SFX team came a close second with a grade of 1.23. The Czech show also scored points with the expert jury, from which it won the award for the best design of the compulsory part.

Third place and a grade of 1.27 went to the German team Beisel Pyrotechnik with their show Dance of the Angels with Two Steps on the Highway to Hell.

"The difference between first and fifth place is the lowest in the history of Facebook audience voting, just 15 hundredths of a point. The evenness of all the shows this year is incredible," Morávek concluded.
